Lean In DC Communications Director
From 2016 until 2020, I served on the executive board for Lean In DC, a LeanIn.org regional chapter that launched the first Lean In-affiliated Equal Pay Day campaign involving businesses who pledged symbolic discounts representative of the gender wage gap.My favorite memory involved working with fellow board members, LeanIn.Org representatives (including Sheryl Sandberg), and various Lean In chapters across the country to help transform Lean In DC’s annual Equal Pay Day campaign into LeanIn.Org’s #20PercentCounts campaign.

#20PercentCounts drew nationwide partners, including Procter & Gamble, Lyft, and UrbanStems, as well as immeasurable support from hundreds of celebrities, including Serena Williams, Emma Watson, Shonda Rhimes, and countless political leaders. Participating local businesses in the D.C. area also committed to offering 20% discounts to raise awareness of the national gender wage gap
